HOW-TO FIND YOUR IMEI NUMBER
- Power on the phone.
- Make sure the phone is at the idle/home screen.
- Press or key these charactors *#06# (0=zero)
- After you press the last #, the 15-digit IMEI number will display on the screen.
- Write down and store the number for future reference. Having the IMEI number if your phone is lost or stolen is invaluable.
- If the number disappears, re-key *#06#.
- As an alternative, turn off the phone, remove the battery, look for a label with the 15-digit IMEI number.
The IMEI can be valuable information when purchasing a used phone.
- Call the carrier to verify the IMEI number is clear and not for a lost or stolen phone.
- Lookup the IMEI number online: http://www.numberingplans.com/?page=analysis&sub=imeinr
- Check phone carrier compatibility and usage.
- Get more information from the phone manufacturer.
