I recently read this forum where the resident 'guru' stated that, "since the kernal was the same (as Vista), most if not all apps would work in 7." - (reliability unknown)
I've used AVG for about 2.5 years (or more), and without a single incident. No software crashes, clashes, glitches, or incompatibilities and most importantly no virus'. AVG has always caught problems and dealt with them immediately as directed.
AVG has a very simple interface, scan and update scheduler, logs - all the usual.
Very easy to use and sits quietly on-guard!
